Kick start: The UIL soccer season officially gets underway on Monday, the first day that teams across the state are allowed to conduct after-school practices. The first day of regular season is Dec. 30 and the state finals are scheduled for April 10-12 at Birkelbach Field in Georgetown.
A year ago, Boerne boys and girls teams both played in the Class 4A state final, losing by identical 1-0 scores.
