2,000: Career kills for Reagan senior outside hitter Mya Allen, who attained the mark during the Rattlers’ win vs. Laredo Alexander on Sept. 6. Allen, a TCU commit, is believed to be only the seventh player in San Antonio-area history to reach the standard, joining Jay’s Demetria Sance, Blanco’s Reagan Rogers, Holy Cross’ Henrianna Ibarra, Warren’s Mikayla Vivens, Boerne Geneva’s Karynn Garrow and Pleasanton’s Sadie McAda.
1,000: Career kills for New Braunfels Canyon junior outside hitter Marlee Lightsey, who accomplished the feat during the Cougarettes’ non-district match vs. Reagan on Tuesday. Lightsey, who is committed to Army, had 26 kills in a five-set loss to Reagan.
1,000: Career kills for Stockdale sophomore outside hitter Leann Wise, who reached the milestone during the Brahmas’ 25-19, 16-25, 18-25, 25-18, 15-13 win vs. Randolph on Sept. 6. Wise, one of the nation’s top beach players, had 36 kills vs. Randolph.
1,000: Career kills for Cornerstone senior outside hitter Aniya Hall, who reached the mark during the Warriors’ win vs. San Antonio Patriots on Tuesday. Hall, who is committed to Louisiana-Monroe, is in her second season at Cornerstone. She played her freshman and sophomore campaigns at Reagan before transferring.
1,000: Total digs for Harlan senior setter Isabella De La Rosa, who reached the mark during the Hawks’ vs. O’Connor on Sept. 6.
1,000: Total assists for Canyon Lake junior setter Chloe Gray, who registered the tally during the Hawks’ win vs. Cole on Sept. 6.
23: Consecutive district volleyball matches won by Harlan before falling to O’Connor 17-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-17 on Sept. 6. The Hawks hadn’t lost a league contest since a 29-31, 25-23, 25-22, 19-25, 15-5 loss to O’Connor on Sept. 30, 2022.
5: Publications that have Cornerstone listed in their national volleyball rankings. The Warriors (21-1) are No. 2 in SBLive Sports Power 25, No. 4 in Prep Volleyball’s power 50 rankings, No. 6 in both MaxPreps Top 25 and vballrecruiter.com Top 50, and No. 7 in Blue Star Net 25 rankings.
2: Milestones reached by Warren senior setter Naomi Gamboa during the Warriors’ triumph vs. Holmes on Sept. 6. Gamboa recorded her 2,00th assist and 1,000th dig.
