500: Career steals for Lytle senior guard/forward Fizz Hutton, who reached the milestone during the Pirates’ 68-49 win vs. Rio Hondo in the semifinals of the Region IV-3A tournament in Seguin on Feb. 24.
400: Career wins for Alamo Heights softball coach Jennifer Fox, who reached the milestone during the Mules’ 15-0 victory vs. Jefferson on Feb. 21. She is the fifth area coach to collect 400 victories, joining New Braunfels Canyon’s Kevin Randle, former Canyon Lake coach John Gallagher, former Churchill coach Teresa Machu and former La Vernia coach Shelly Hayes. Fox is in her first season as head coach at Alamo Heights and 20th overall. She previously coached at Boerne High and Johnson, leading the former to the UIL Class 4A (now 5A) state championship in 2007.
200: Total victories for South San softball coach Raymond Castillo, who attained the mark with the Bobcats’ 11-1 win vs. Floresville on Thursday at the East Central/Judson tournament.
73: Career goals scored for Smithson Valley senior forward Sabrina Taber, a school record. Taber, who has signed with the University of Cincinnati, reached the plateau with a goal during the Rangers’ 8-0 win vs. Wagner on Tuesday, surpassing the previous mark of 72 established by Marcey Morales.
