By the numbers

A MacArthur graduate, Villarreal led Reagan to UIL state final in 2018 and regional final in 2022, 2019, 2016 and 2008 and the regional semifinals in 2009 and 2012.
250: Total wins for Harlandale boys soccer coach Frank Aguilar, who accomplished the feat during the Indians’ 4-3 triumph vs. Southwest Legacy on Feb. 7. Aguilar is in his 18th season at Harlandale and has led the program to 13 playoff appearances, including the regional quarterfinals in 2013.
100: Victories for Alamo Heights boys soccer coach Jason Perez, who reached the mark during the Mules’ 4-2 win vs. MacArthur on Feb. 7. Perez is in his third season at Alamo Heights and ninth overall. He previously coached for six seasons at New Braunfels. Perez was an assistant coach for two seasons at LEE, including when the Volunteers advanced to the UIL Class 6A state final in 2019, and for four seasons at his alma mater San Angelo Central, where he was a standout goalkeeper and helped the Bobcats reach the Class 6A state tournament in 2021 and the Region I-6A final in 1999.
100: Wins for La Vernia boys soccer coach Joe Carranza, who attained the standard during the Bears’ 2-0 victory vs. New Braunfels on Jan. 27.
