2,000: Career points for Reagan senior wing Samantha Wagner, who reached the milestone by scoring 44 points during the Rattlers’ 68-41 win vs. New Braunfels on Tuesday. Wagner, one of the nation’s top players in Class of 2023, signed with Oregon on Wednesday.

1,000: Total assists for Antonian senior setter Desi Camargo, who accomplished the feat during the Apaches’ win vs. Plano John Paul II in a TAPPS 6A regional final on Nov. 5.

1,000: Career digs for Warren sophomore libero Justine Flores, who amassed the total during the Warriors’ triumph vs. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo on Nov. 4.

1,000: Career points for Central Catholic senior Joshua Devora, who reached the plateau during the Buttons’ 63-46 decision vs. Austin Regents on Nov. 4.

6: Area athletes named to American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America team. Alamo Heights’ Hannah Whittingstall made the first team. New Braunfels Canyon’s Maya Jones earned a spot on the second team, while New Braunfels Canyon’s Isabell Woo and Smithson Valley’s Lillie Johnson are on the third team. Brandeis’ Emma Halstead and New Braunfels Canyon’s Courtney Pope received honorable mention. The players were chosen from a list of nearly 1,200 nominations.
