100: Career wins for Brackenridge baseball coach Bobby Behnsch, who reached the milestone during the Eagles’ 10-0 decision vs. Highlands on March 26. Behnsch previously coached at Southwest.

34: Goals scored this season by Johnson sophomore forward Mabry Williams, tying a school record. Williams accomplished the feat with three goals in the Jaguars’ 5-1 Class 6A bidistrict win vs. New Braunfels on March 25, equaling a mark first established by Courtney Trimble in 2016.

30: Goals scored this season by Clemens junior forward Sanai Stewart, tying a school record. Stewart tallied a goal in the Buffaloes’ 9-2 Class 6A bidistrict loss vs. Clark on March 25. She surpassed the previous mark of 29 set by Brittany Tollison in 2005.

20: Strikeouts recorded by Judson pitcher Javi Torres during the Rockets’ 8-3 victory vs. South San in District 27-6A play on Tuesday. Torres, a junior who is committed to Texas State, faced 28 batters in seven innings and allowed four hits and three runs — none earned — without surrendering a walk.

Put a ring on it: In the aftermath of its landmark run to the UIL Class 6A state championship in November in Garland, the Brandeis volleyball team has been feted with the spoils of victory.
The Broncos have received individual and team recognition, including being honored by the Northside ISD board of trustees, the school’s booster club, and at the Alamo Bowl Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast.
A distinction that they can wear for the rest of their lives arrived during a Wednesday morning ceremony — coaches and players received state championship rings.
Brandeis finished the season with a 47-2 record and was No. 3 in MaxPreps’ Top 25 and No. 4 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association/USA Today Super 25 final national rankings.
