Golden moment: Judson senior Keely Williams helped Team USA recently capture a gold medal at the Junior Pan American Games in Barranquilla, Colombia. She had a hit, stolen base and scored a run as the U.S. routed Mexico 10-0 in four innings.
Williams and the U.S. squad are currently in Lima, Peru, for the Under-18 World Cup. The competition started Monday and concludes on Sunday. Team USA is 5-0 so far in the tournament, recording four shutouts and outscoring its opponents by a 34-3 margin.
A Texas A&M signee who led Judson to within one victory of winning the UIL Class 6A state championship last spring, Williams had a hit in the U.S.’s 10-0 win vs. Czech Republic.
