500: Career wins for Brandeis volleyball coach Maddie Williams, who reached the milestone during the Broncos’ 25-7, 25-19 victory Friday over Judson at the North East ISD tournament. Williams is in her 14th season at Brandeis and 23rd overall. She previously coached at Luling and Klein Collins. She guided Brandeis to the Region IV-6A final last year and in 2016.
450: Overall wins for Madison volleyball coach Shannon Wolfe, who accomplished the feat during the Mavericks’ 25-14, 25-18 decision vs. Warren at the Northside ISD tournament on Aug. 13. Wolfe has also had head-coaching stints at Floresville and Southwest, leading the latter to the Region IV-6A tournament in 2008 and 2009.
400: Total wins for Boerne volleyball coach Tisha Pettibon, who met the standard during the Greyhounds’ 25-11, 25-19 triumph Friday over Marshall at the Boerne ISD tournament. It was also Pettibon’s 300th win at Boerne, which she has guided to the regional tournament in 2012, 2014 and 2015. Pettibon previously coached at Class 1A power Wink and Comfort, leading the former to the regional tournament in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
300: Career victories for Jay volleyball coach Sandra Longoria, who reached the mark during the Mustangs’ 25-16, 25-17 win vs. Roosevelt at the Wagner tournament on Aug. 14. Longoria previously coached at Victoria West, leading the three district titles and regional tournament berths in 2010 and 2011 during her four seasons at the helm. She also coached boys and girls volleyball teams in Orlando, Florida.
200: Wins for Reagan volleyball coach Rachel Torvik, who garnered the milestone during the Rattlers’ 25-19, 25-23 victory Friday vs. Houston Clear Creek at the Fraulein Volleyfest in New Braunfels. Torvik is in fourth season at Reagan, which she paced to the Class 6A state semifinals a year ago, and previously coached at Judson and Veterans Memorial.
100: Wins for Boerne Champion volleyball coach Jessica Tully-Mitchell, who reached the standard during the Chargers’ 25-23, 25-18 decision vs. Clyde at the Bev Ball Classic in Abilene on Aug. 13. Tully-Mitchell is in her third season at Boerne Champion and previously coached at Comfort and Boerne Geneva, which she led to the TAPPS state semifinals in 2015.
