5: Consecutive times the Boerne girls basketball team had lost in a regional final before breaking through with Tuesday’s 56-51 win vs. Fredericksburg. The Greyhounds fell one victory shy of a UIL state tournament berth in 2016, 2014, 2013, 2004 and 2003. They advanced to the state tournament in 2000, losing to eventual champion Canyon in the state semifinals.
19: Judson’s ranking in this week’s espnW Top 25 girls basketball national poll. The Rockets (26-1) make their debut after they edged Reagan 58-52 in overtime in the Region IV-6A final and earned a fifth straight trip to the UIL Class 6A state tournament. Judson faces Cy Creek (30-0), a state finalist a year ago and No. 5 in the espnW rankings, in the Class 6A state semifinals at 3 p.m. Saturday in Goliad.
100: Wins for Reagan girls basketball coach Selena Winbush during her six years at the helm of the Rattlers. Winbush reached the milestone during Reagan’s 60-55 victory over Austin High during the Class 6A second round on Feb. 22.
200: Career wins for Clemens softball coach Amanda Balthun. She accomplished the feat during the Buffaloes’ 11-2 decision vs. Reagan at the North East ISD tournament on Feb. 27. Balthun is in her 14th season and previously coached at McCollum.

Title shots: The TMI boys and Schertz John Paul II boys and girls teams will play for TAPPS state soccer championships Friday at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.
TMI will seek its third straight Division II crown when it takes on Frisco Legacy Christian at 2 p.m. The Schertz John Paul girls aim for a second straight D-III title when they face Dallas Covenant at 12:30 p.m. Schertz John Paul II boys squad tangles with Dallas Covenant for the D-III title at 9 a.m.
