2,000: Total assists for Brandeis senior setter Samantha Valadez, who accomplished the feat during the Broncos’ Class 6A bidistrict win vs. San Marcos on Monday. She also recorded her 1,000th dig in the match.
1,000: Career digs for Reagan senior libero Ady Perez, who reached the standard during the Rattlers’ Class 6A bidistrict win vs. New Braunfels on Tuesday.
1,000: Overall assists for Southwest senior setter Briazia Osborne, who notched the mark during the Dragons’ Class 5A bidistrict triumph vs. Edison on Tuesday.
1,000: Career digs for D’Hanis’ Peyton Burell and Jessa Frosch, who both attained the milestone during the Cowgirls’ non-district match vs. Jourdanton on Oct. 27.
300: Career wins for Harlan volleyball coach Monica Gonzales, who reached the milestone during the Hawks’ 25-11, 25-8, 25-11 victory vs. Laredo LBJ in a Class 6A bidistrict encounter on Monday. Gonzales is in her sixth season at Harlan and previously was head coach at Brennan and Fox Tech.
300: Total wins for Reagan volleyball coach Rachel Torvik, who reached the mark during the Rattlers’ Class 6A bidistrict victory vs. New Braunfels on Tuesday. Torvik is in her sixth season at Reagan and previously was head coach at Judson and Veterans Memorial.
40: Wins this season for the Harlan volleyball team. The Hawks reached the milestone with Monday’s UIL Class 6A bidistrict victory over Laredo LBJ, becoming the 18th area school to have a 40-win season. Reagan, Clemens, Alamo Heights, Churchill, Holy Cross, Incarnate Word, Johnson, La Vernia, Navarro, New Braunfels, O’Connor, Poth, Brandeis, Cornerstone, Antonian, New Braunfels Canyon and Davenport are the other schools to accomplish the feat.
