2,000: Career digs for O’Connor senior libero Carly Chavez, who reached the milestone during the Panthers’ match vs. Antonian at the Fraulein Volleyfest in New Braunfels on Aug. 18.
1,000: Career assists for Johnson junior setter Emma Gonzalez, a Colorado State-Pubelo commit, who accomplished the feat during the Jaguars’ win vs. Taft on Aug. 22.
1,000: Career kills, assists and digs for Kerrville Tivy senior setter/outside hitter Taylor Kubacak. She standards for kills and assists at Fraulein Volleyfest in New Braunfels Aug. 17-19. Kubacak, who is committed to defending NCAA Division II national champion West Texas A&M, notched her 1,000th dig vs. Incarnate Word on Tuesday.
1,000: Career digs for Pleasanton senior Kiley Wiechring, who made the standard during the Eagles’ contest vs. San Antonio YWLA on Aug. 22.
400: Career wins for Smithson Valley volleyball coach Melissa Miller, who reached the bar during the Rangers’ triumph vs. Houston Memorial at the Texas Showdown on Aug. 24. Miller is in her third season at Smithson Valley and 15th overall. She previously coached at Holmes and Clark, her alma mater.
